The Punta Allen Fishing Club is located 50 yards or so from the beach on Ascension bay, right in the heart of the lobster fishing village of Punta Allen.
The Lodge was built in 2009 using local indigenous hardwoods, Mexican stucco style brick and tiles, following the local tradition. We are located within the Sian Ka' an reserve and the lodge was not only built to blend in as a “eco-friendly hotel” but also meet the strict environmental regulations.
Our 5 modern rooms are decorated in the colorful style typical of Mexico but also offer a little a French touch which has been added to them by the lodge's owner.
Upstairs, under a traditional Mayan Palapa (the largest in the village) is our dining room, bar, lounge with fly-tying benches and an internet corner. The Lodge is managed and run by a dedicated team, who all share the passion for salt-water fly-fishing. Our team with its multi-cultural background prides itself in anticipating your needs and wishes, to make your vacation the best fishing holiday you will ever have.
We excel in truly making you feel that wonderful Mexican welcome “ Mi casa es tu casa” , “ My home is your home”.
Our Fishing Lodge in Punta Allen also offers access to the nearby beach club which is especially appealing to any non-fishing guests.
Our staff: Pascale Leblanc and Tiziano Rizzotto have many years of experience working in the fly fishing industry worlwide. Juan Briceño is the on-site managing Mexican partner. Juan is the Captain of the guides and is simply one of the very best in the area. Due to his high standards of client care he chooses only the best guides based on reputation, fishing skills and professionalism.

“My husband and I spent a week with Pascale, Tiziano, and Juan at the end of April. This was the best fly fishing trip we have ever had and we have to add credence to that by saying this was our 7th time in Ascension Bay. Pascale was the cook and hostess while we were there and she was FANTASTIC. The food was exceptional. The lodge was comfortable and charming. Juanito was our guide for 6.5 days and we were able to catch at least one of all the coveted fish. He was not going to let us leave unless we did! Juan was very fun and enjoyable to spend the day with. Tiziano was informative and fun to visit with. We hope to return very soon.
There is no a.c. in the lodge but with the cross breeze we did not find that to be a problem. The staff was very good. We highly recommend it but not so much that it is full when we want to go back.”

“I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful fly-fishing trips I have had with your Lodge, and comment on the professionalism of your organization.
Juan and his assistant guides have great patience with my not so great ability to fly fish. They can spot permit and bone fish, when I can see absolutely nothing. If not for their clear directions in English "cast 2 o'clock, 50 ft. out, strip, strip, Set the hook!"; I never would have been able to catch so many fish. They are truly expert fly fisherman and know every part of the vast Ascension Bay area.
The gourmet breakfast and lunches that Pascale provides are better than any other fishing lodge where I have stayed. Nice fresh fruits, eggs , pancakes, pastries and fresh juices. No plain ham and cheese sandwich with a bag of chips for lunch at this Lodge. Many time we had fresh homemade pasta dishes and cookies or pastries for desert.
The lodge itself is very clean and comfortable. You can tell that they take great pride in the facilities. The hammocks on the upstairs veranda are my favorite place to relax after a long day of fishing. There is a nice breeze upstairs to get away from the heat , and fans in the bedrooms keep it comfortable for sleeping at night.
I am looking forward to my next trip there this winter. Good people, and good fishing.
Sincerely,
Richard Rawlins
